Sunday 3 November

Well it wasn’t Manila, celebrating Scotty’s 50th, not even close, but the Gents (and most of the distraught Manila contingent) steamrolled (quite literally) Setagaya on Sunday afternoon 46-12.
Richard “Hosky” Hoskins scored two thundering tries and set up a third (through Brookey’s hands) to Hide Unozawa. Both Ben “Cuddles” Kiggell and Brookey scored tries adding to the tight five’s scoring bonanza. Mike Benner touched down once.
The backline was clicking with Kevin Gibson, Garlo, Kevin Rideout, and Matt Burgess shredding the Setagaya defense. Wings, Walter “Broken Collar Bone” De Oude and Jason “4 for 4” Dunn, made it look easy, scoring one try each. Despite strong winds, Fraser and Rich Freeman made one and two conversions respectively.
Robbie Grant played an excellent game was the man of the match.
