25 March 2000 – club day

The first annual drunk rugby fixture – Great Britain v Rest of the World – featured much higher quality rugby than anyone had expected. The final score was a fitting 20-20 draw, meaning the prestigeous Panty Shield will be shared by the two factions for the year. Benn Shepherd marked a welcome return to the rugby field with a sparkling hat trick on the left wing for the GB team. Craig Totton scored twice for RoW, and Doogs & Go got one each. Ben Kiggell drove over in the corner for the tying try to level the scores in the last few minutes.
At the after-match function, Rhino was awarded the Jerry Hegarty Memorial Cup for overall contribution to the club, Dan Mori was a deserving winner of the Gents player of the season pennant, and Dougal Robertson was awarded the first XV pennant after an outstanding season.
